Show Review – Gord Bamford – Sudbury, ON

Who: Gord Bamford
When: February 12, 2018
Where: Caruso Club, Sudbury, ON

Gord Bamford has performed many times throughout the years in Sudbury. When you see the fan reaction to his shows here, you can understand why. From the first song to the last, Bamford and his audience are engaged. This show was no different. The Neon Smoke Tour was brough to the Caruso Club by Cabin Media, who continually bring the best shows to this region.

Opening the show was Alberta’s own Aaron Goodvin, who’s career has been sky-rocketing over the past several years. With hits like “Knock On Wood”, “Woman In Love”, “Lonely Drum” and his current single, “Miss Me Yet”. Goodvin and his band captivated the audience and got the party started!

Bamford and his award winning band hit the stage with “Heard you In A Song” and played hit after hit with favourites like “Blame It On That Red Dress”, “Is It Friday Yet”, “Drinkin’ Buddy” and many more. A highlight of the night was the performance of “Ain’t It Grand” where Bamford invited Goodvin to the stage to sing Jim Cuddy‘s part of the song. The crowd loved it!

The set ended with “Where A Farm Used To Be”. An encore was inevitable. The night ended with a little “Devil Went Down To Georgia” and “Breakfast Beer” that earned great cheers and applause!
