Toronto’s Nelson Sobral, otherwise known as n3lly, has been a longtime member of the Toronto music scene in various ways. Not only does he host one of the best open mics in the city every Monday night, Open Mic Mondays at The Painted Lady, but he also plays guitar in the rock band, The Celebration Army, and other various groups such as Mattie Leon and Voltzwagon.
Now, he has released a self-titled album as a solo artist featuring nine tracks, including the single, “Baby” which you can hear below. When we asked him about the single, he commented that it is:
“a song about a loved one letting you know that everything is gonna work itself out in the end against a backdrop of soul/r&b horns and a Motown-inspired groove.”
Stay tuned for more about the album in the near future from Canadian Beats.
