Toronto’s own jazz-pop artist, Dahlia Fernandes, otherwise known as DAHLIA has released a video for her single, “Back to the Days” which is off of her newest EP, Shift. The single is an upbeat breath of fresh air, that I personally can’t get enough of. The single was co-written by Fernandes, Steve D’Angelo and the EP’s producer Nick Name. We were able to ask DAHLIA about the lively, amusing video, she commented,
“I had so much fun making this video with filmmakers Dan Slater and Adam Booth from West and Social. We wanted to capture this constantly rotating view of various worlds and finding a way to get them to collide. The music video was meant to be a reminder to tap into our inner kid and to keep that childish wonder as we grow into our adulthood. The best part was the music producer, Nick Londono of the record is actually in the video! The Dancing Trio are all really best friends and run K.I.D.S dance studio, and two kids are from that dance school, and the siblings are really brother and sister, too, so it was a great family affair and vibe.”
