Beams release new single, “You Are An Ocean”
Toronto, ON based folk-noir band, Beams has released their new single entitled “You Are An Ocean”. The single premiered on Indie88 yesterday and now we are happy to share it with all of you. Their sophmore album, Teach Me To Leave is set to be released on February 23, 2018, and if this song is any indication of what’s to come, it’s going to be a good one! When we asked Anna Mernieks about the single, she commented,
“You are an Ocean confronts the loneliness of being a rat in the “rat race” by setting up the scene (bed, shower, car, office, repeat) and then letting it fall away, reminding us that we are all connected to each other as an ocean of molecules. Loneliness is a bad dream and this song is a call to wake up.”
