Calgary based jazz musician, Ellen Doty has released a brand new video for her single, “September Moon”. This is the first single from her upcoming album, Come Fall which is set for release on March 2, 2018, via Alma Records.
The video was directed by Brock Mitchell, who is a childhood friend of Doty. Mitchell shares thoughts on the video,
“The visuals were based on capturing her emotion as a performer.A lot of inspiration was taken from vintage photography, with soft lighting and lensing effects, which gives the video a much more timeless and human feel. There is a warmth to old photographs, no matter if in colour or black and white, and I wanted to convey this same feeling with the visuals of the song.”
