Mount Forest, Ontario’s Brittany Brodie has had one heck of a busy year. This singer/songwriter has a take charge attitude to get her name, and her music, out there.
In August 2017, Brodie released her latest single, “I Do”. Don’t let the title fool you. It’s not a traditional love song. What is traditional is the sound of this tune. Unlike current musical trends, Brodie has gone back to the genre’s roots and created a song worthy of hitting #9 on the Canadian Indie Charts.
With this release, Brodie embarked a Fall cross-Canada radio tour. Aside from this, she has spend the better part of the year in Nashville, writing and working on a new project. One of her highlights was to share the stage with Country legend, Vince Gill and The Time Jumpers. She has also travelled throughout Canada and the U.S. performing both national anthems on the Nascar circuit.
In this interview, we talk about many of these topics and more.
Hello everyone! My name is Linda and I have been a fan of Canadian Music for as long as I can remember. That counts for way too many decades than I want to admit to! I have three primary passions in my life, music, photography and writing. When I can combine them all, I feel I am right where I should be. Though I can appreciate all genres of music, my particular favourite is Country. Canadian Country is moving in leaps and bounds. I love how it is progressing and I’m thankful that I can be a small part of it.
