Toronto’s own Emma Cook is set to release her new album in 2018 and recently shared her first single, “I Will Stay”, now she has released a video to accompany the track. We asked Emma about the video, she responded,
“When Peter Schnobb and Blayre Ellestad first came to me with their ideas for the video treatment, I hadn’t talked to them about what the song was about and they really nailed it. Although the story isn’t exactly the same as where I was coming from when I wrote the song, they really captured the struggle of a mother who is dealing with outside circumstances and the power with which she rises above it for the love of her child.”
If you’re in the Toronto area on November 9, you can check out her performance at the Cameron House as part of Indie Week.
