Rick Knowles hails from Carlton Place, Ontario, on the outskirts of our nation’s capitol, Ottawa. He grew up in a musical family and has been playing music from a young age. Joining his first cover band after high school, Knowles began emersing himself in songwriting and exploring different genres, though, Country has always played a strong role in his life.
His new EP, Inside Out, will be release by the end of October. The first single from this, “Oklahoma Rain” went out to Canadian radio October 10th and has already been added to several stations across the county.
We had the chance to meet up with Knowles at his home for this informative interview and a great acoustic of his current single.
Here is “Oklahoma Rain”
Hello everyone! My name is Linda and I have been a fan of Canadian Music for as long as I can remember. That counts for way too many decades than I want to admit to! I have three primary passions in my life, music, photography and writing. When I can combine them all, I feel I am right where I should be. Though I can appreciate all genres of music, my particular favourite is Country. Canadian Country is moving in leaps and bounds. I love how it is progressing and I’m thankful that I can be a small part of it.
