If you’re a country music fan then you’ve probably heard of Ontario-based country music singer-songwriter Nicole Rayy. She’s been making waves all across Canada recently with her latest hit single, ”Fireproof.” Now, she’s packing her bags and heading to China (for the third year in a row) for the 2017 World Music Festival, held the first week of October. Going with her are finalists in their respective categories for the 2017 Manitoba Country Music Association’s awards Brennan Wall (guitar), Karl Shewchuk (bass), Brenton Thorvaldson (utility player) as well as Rich DaSilva (drums) from Toronto, Ontario.
Now, here’s what you need to know about Nicole Rayy’s adventure. You can virtually be a part of it. Rayy will share her China experience with her followers via live streams, videos and exclusive contests for handpicked souvenirs, so keep a close eye on her social media pages from October 1 to 7. Says Rayy of this experience,
“I’m honoured to be a part of the World Music Festival in Shanghai again this year. I’m grateful for the support Shanghai has given to me and I’m constantly blown away by the crowd’s response. I never could have imagined when I started singing country that it would bring me to China. I can’t wait for the journey this year and to share the experience with my fans.”
This past summer, she crisscrossed across Canada performing on some of Canada’s most-celebrated stages and most recently performed multiple showcases during the 2017 Canadian Country Music Week in Saskatoon. I happened to catch one of her showcases while I was there (MCMA at the CCMAs) and had the privilege of hearing some of her new music coming in 2018. You are going to be blown away when you get the chance to hear it.
If you live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, you’ll also get the chance to hear some of Rayy’s new music. She will be performing at Cowboy’s Roadhouse on Saturday, November 11. But, not only will you be able to hear this extraordinary artist, you will also get to hear the incredible Genevieve Fisher (”Take it on Home”) as she joins Rayy on stage for a night that you won’t soon forget.
If you aren’t following Nicole Rayy, do so now so you can virtually be a part of this exciting China adventure and have a chance to win special souvenirs.
Hi all. I’m Nanci Dagg. I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have lived my entire life here. There is nothing I like better than supporting local artists followed by supporting Canadian artists. Although I was a classic rock gal, my go to genre is country. Something about this music that just makes me feel great. I can be found at most country music concerts and shows (from someone’s house to really large venues) taking lots of pictures. Music and photography are two of my passions. Add to this mix, writing about artists, well let’s say, life doesn’t get better than this.
