Award-winning Producer/ Songwriter and 2017 Toronto Independent Music Award nominee, Azeem Haq has released his first single “Take It Back”. Azeem has partnered with Toronto’s SickKids Foundation to donate proceeds of the single towards a goal of $10,000! Funds for the initiative will be generated whenever Azeem’s music is streamed on Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, and other music streaming services.
“We rely on the generous support from the community and are grateful to Azeem for his commitment to our cause,” says Lisa Walker, Manager, Sponsorship and Cause Marketing, SickKids Foundation. “The funds raised from this initiative will help SickKids continue to fund the fight against the greatest challenges in child health.”
Azeem was born with a spinal condition which resulted in over a dozen surgeries throughout his life at SickKids, so this cause is close to his heart. He states,
“I always wanted to be able to not only help kids like me, but also the staff at that incredible hospital.”
