I was so grateful that I was able to catch the ever so talented Samara Yung during her Saskmusic live webcast. She has an amazing voice and always has her dad, Murray Yung, at her side playing acoustic guitar. She puts a lot of emotion into each and every song she sings.
Samara Yung just released her sophomore album Steamroller on May 26, 2017, and her latest single, “Fireproof “ off that album is a killer love song.
I got to hear “Fireproof” and “Heartbreak Hall of Fame” from that album, as well as one of my favourites, “Stone” from her 2015 album, This is Me. Her lyrics stick with you. Her voice is strong and beautiful. The energy she exudes on stage is contagious and you really can’t help but love her signature look – black and fuschia hair, stiletto heels and blue jeans.

Hi all. I’m Nanci Dagg. I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have lived my entire life here. There is nothing I like better than supporting local artists followed by supporting Canadian artists. Although I was a classic rock gal, my go to genre is country. Something about this music that just makes me feel great. I can be found at most country music concerts and shows (from someone’s house to really large venues) taking lots of pictures. Music and photography are two of my passions. Add to this mix, writing about artists, well let’s say, life doesn’t get better than this.
