For Love of Country will Rock Peterborough November 10, 2017

Friday November 10, 2017, The Venue, Peterborough, Ontario, will be the place to be! For Love of Country ROCKS will be taking over for a night of music, dancing, food and fun with a great musical line-up, all to support Produce For Veterans!

Ambush will be headlining this event! Their bio may talk a lot about country, but their sets are a mix of all genres of music. If you have never seen them live, you are in for a treat. Known as “Canada’s Rockin’ Country Band”, they have been delivering their own brand of high-octane country music since 1993. A dynamic group of performers who share an unprecedented combination of talent, experience, and contagious enthusiasm.

Famous for their live shows, Ambush has built an intensely loyal fan base in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. The Ambush Army is a quarter of a million fans strong and still growing! Performing to captivate crowds of all ages.

Some of their accolated include being crowned champions of the CMT reality series “Plucked” (2006); and being recognized by the Canadian music industry with multiple nominations for Canadian Country Music Association awards. Ambush is raw energy, sheer entertainment, and just plain fun!

Dean James is an award-winning singer-songwriter Nashville recording Artist. He’s definitely a walking music Jukebox with no limits on his performance; from dancing on the bar in his white snakeskin cowboy boots to his intimate solo acoustic performances, Dean James’ lifelong passion shows through in every song he sings. Though his roots are in country, he can rock it out with the best of them. See for yourself!

The Austin Carson Band is an up and coming Rock n’ Roll quartet hailing from Peterborough, Ontario. They have become popular at the area’s various venues; performing a mix of original tunes with favourite rock classics, while giving them an edge of their own. They have shared the stage with Wide Mouth Mason, Big Sugar, I Mother Earth and The Trews, to name a few.

Sticks ‘n Tones is an exciting and comedic musical duo featuring Marc Ekins on vocals, guitar, keys and harmonica; and Neil LaFortune on Drums, Percussions and vocals. Both are seasoned musicians who have performed in and outside of Canada. They have a repetoire of music to please every listener (rock, country, blues, folk, Celtic and swing).

Neil and Marc have performed together for over 10 years, and they have opened for Great Big Sea, The Road Hammers, Prairie Oyster, Aaron Pritchett, Cold Creek County and Emerson Drive.

“We may just have to start calling them our house band!” cites Joe Switzer, Co-founder of Produce For Veterans. “This will be the second FLC Event that they have performed at. It is also worth mentioning that these men have also helped relentlessly to make these shows happen. We thank them for their support!”

Produce For Veterans is a non-profit organization in Keene, Ontario that grows and collects locally grown produce to help veterans and military families in need of fresh food.

Early Bird tickets will be on sale, during the month of August, for $25.00. Price goes up to $30.00 September 1st, and will be available at the door the night of the show for $35.00.
