George Street Festival is always a big draw for the city of St. John’s and this year is no exception. Winning the Rock The Block competition this year, local act The Norm kicked off the first night of the festival before Matt Mays hit the stage to warm the crowd up for the headliner (and a band they called their big brothers) Sam Roberts.

I’m Tara and I’m a graphic designer from Newfoundland. I am very fortunate to live in a city where there is a ton of amazing musicians. I’ve grown very fond of the local music scene in St. John’s and some of my favorite bands are ones I’ve met through going to local shows.
