The 1st annual Feast Fest saw a steady crowd June 23-25 with an assortment of food, beverages, music and entertainment programming at Bell Park, Sudbury. Highlights included the participation of five different food vendors, Porketta Bingo, gaming contests and all-day musical performances.
Friday’s headliner was Canadian Country Music Artist Jojo Mason. Jojo is one of the sweetest artists out there right now. He has a big infectious smile and beams his energy right out into the crowd. They love him and he loves them! His band was tight and over the top with talent. Phenominal performance! Other performances that day included DJ Junior, Mike Trudell, Matt Morson, JW Stevens and the comedy of Shawn McLaren.
Canadian Classic Rockers Honeymoon Suite headlined Saturday night to a full house who were on there feet taking in all the bands hits. Others performing included The Honeybee Braves, The Keyframes, Josh Dimmel, Tom, Dick & Harry and Fortunate Losers.
Sunday was called Ceasar Sunday! Special Ceasar prices and more great music to round out the day.
All the music was great. There is one group that deserves noteable mention. They performed as five different acts over the three days and did a fantastic job. They work under Your Live Ent. Com as Hair Nation (’80’s Rock & Roll), That Party Band (Top 40’s), Country Bumpkins, Disco Night Fever and The Way Backs. Front person, Kat Vhonda, says “Everyday is like Halloween with us. We have different costumes for each act.” Very entertaining and engage with the audience.
“We had an excellent crowd considering the uncertain weather forecast, which lead to a couple of food vendors backing out. All things considered we are very pleased with how the first annual shaped up”, comments Festival Partner, Paul Fairley. “We have a number of Ontario food festivals to roll our this year and are already planning enhancements to these for 2018.”
Over 8,500 people visited the Sudbury event over three-days. Feast Fest will also visit Midland and London Ontario this summer, with plans to expand to other Ontario markets in 2018.

Hello everyone! My name is Linda and I have been a fan of Canadian Music for as long as I can remember. That counts for way too many decades than I want to admit to! I have three primary passions in my life, music, photography and writing. When I can combine them all, I feel I am right where I should be. Though I can appreciate all genres of music, my particular favourite is Country. Canadian Country is moving in leaps and bounds. I love how it is progressing and I’m thankful that I can be a small part of it.
