Summer music festival season is upon us! From July 13–16, the Vancouver Folk Music Festival is taking place in Jericho Beach Park. For its 40th Anniversary, the Vancouver Folk Music Festival is bringing together over 70 musical acts from over 20 countries.
On July 13, there will be a free concert at Jericho Beach Park on the Main Stage for Canada Far & Wide: Grands Esprits. Canadian musicians will perform songs from the great Canadian songbook. Tickets, songs, and performers can be found here.
This year’s folk fest lineup includes Billy Bragg and Joe Henry, Shawn Colvin, Kathleen Edwards, Rhiannon Giddens, and Barenaked Ladies. There will also be performances by Bahamas, Cold Specks, Choir!Choir!Choir!, Hillsburn, Leif Vollebekk, Andy Shauf, and many more. See the full lineup here.
In addition to the music, there will also be wide range of food, artisan, and retail vendors, a Community Village and Little Folks Area.
