2017 Halifax Jazz Festival announces Stingray Rising Stars finalists
The 2017 Halifax Jazz Festival is working this year with Stingray Music, whose goal is to promote Canadian Music Talent.
This year’s Stingray Rising Stars finalists will perform on the Waterfront Main Stage (Lower Water Street & Salter Street) every afternoon beginning at 2:30pm from Wednesday, July 12 through Sunday, July 16.
The following is the list of all performers:
Quinn Bachand’s Brishen: July 12th – Roma/folk/gypsy jazz band from Victoria, BC.
Only A Visitor: July 13th – Art Pop And from Vancouver BC
Allison Au: July 14th – Jazz Saxophonist infused with Classical, Pop, R&B/hip hop, Latin, sounds from Toronto ON
Melissa Lauren: July 15th – Old school jazz, doo-wop and blues infused with indie pop inflections from Toronto ON
Parker Abbott Trio: July 16th – new jazz sound from Toronto ON
Stop by the main stage to learn and heard these fabulous up and comer’s that will soon be blowing up the Canadian Music Scene.
