5th Annual World Fiddle Day Toronto takes place May 20

On May 20, 2017 the fifth annual World Fiddle Day Toronto takes place at Aga Khan Museum. There will be 100 fiddlers playing tunes from all over the world accompanied by a stellar back-up band consisting of world percussion, clarinet and keys. Special guest artists are Pascal Gemme/ Yann Falquet (Quebec fiddle/guitar), Kousha Nakhaei (Persian fiddle), Amely Zhou (erhu), Anne Lindsay (Jazz, original music) and DnA (Diana and Andrew Dawydchak – Ontario Fiddle/stepdance) who’ll lead morning workshops, then perform at an evening concert in the Aga Khan Auditorium.

AT A GLANCE:
10:00 am – 1:00 pm Workshops with Guest Artists
2:00 pm – 5:00 pm “Around-the-World” Fiddle Jam w/ House Band & as many fiddlers as will fit the venue
5:30 pm6:30 pm Mid-East Buffet Style Dinner
7:00 pm – 10:00 pm MAIN CONCERT w/ featured artists
