Photo Review – Scenic Route To Alaska

Who: Scenic Route To Alaska
When: May 14, 2017
Where: The Cobalt, Vancouver BC
Genre: Indie Rock/Pop

Scenic Route To Alaska have been touring in support of their newest album Long Walk Home, and before they jet off to Europe again to showcase their talents, they headed out on a seven show tour through Alberta and BC. I was lucky enough to see them at Vancouver’s historic Cobalt Cabaret last Sunday night. These three longtime friends and band mates are a solid trio on stage and definitely seem comfortable and confident doing what they do, Trevor Mann provides the unique lead vocals and lead guitar, Murray Wood thumps the bass, and Shea Connor keeps everybody in time behind the drum kit. I was really impressed watching these guys play live, they’re all very talented musicians, and the musical style they’ve come up with together is unique and enjoyable to listen to. SRTA have released four albums and have one live release as well. Recently they’ve been recording in Vancouver so fans can be optimistic for some new music in the near future.
