If you grew up with bands like Streetheart, Loverboy, Harlequin and Kim Mitchell, or are a fan of Canadian Classic Rock, then Toque is a band you need to check out. This quartet of seasoned Canadian musicians who work with some of the biggest names in music – Slash, Alice Cooper, Shania Twain, Age of Electric – got together for a charity event in Winnipeg back in 2012 and Toque was born. With the release of their first album, Give’R, back in December 2016, This band is giving new life to familiar Canadian classics.
We had the chance to talk to Toque’s bassist, Brent Fitz (Slash, Alice Cooper, Econline Crush, Theory of a Deadman) about the band and all things Canadian. We hope you enjoy this interview.

Hello everyone! My name is Linda and I have been a fan of Canadian Music for as long as I can remember. That counts for way too many decades than I want to admit to! I have three primary passions in my life, music, photography and writing. When I can combine them all, I feel I am right where I should be. Though I can appreciate all genres of music, my particular favourite is Country. Canadian Country is moving in leaps and bounds. I love how it is progressing and I’m thankful that I can be a small part of it.
