Being fairly new to this gig, I’m not always familiar with the work of who I’m going to be covering. Which is actually one of the cool things about doing this, I get to experience the artist live for the first time. Everything I’ve covered to date has been pretty amazing and I’ve discovered so much new music. Thursday night was right in line with everything else I’ve encountered so far.
Luke Nicholson is an amazing, singer/song writer/performer from Lakefield Ontario. He took the stage alone that night, just he and his guitar (and mandolin for a bit). For the evening, the crowd was treated to a wonderful performance. One thing I noticed about Luke, is that he really had command of his voice, not only in range but in articulation.
His new CD, Shape and Sound, drops on April 14th. I was able to get an advanced listen, and I have to say, it’s soooo good! Check back here for a review of the album! Until then, follow him on social media and check out the first single from his new album:

Game Designer and photographer, who owns 3 guitars, but cannot play any of them, despite being able to read music, and play the trumpet. Music has always been a part of my life. From the time I could walk I used to run around the coffee table to the tempo of Dueling Banjos. I don’t remember how old I was when I went to my first concert, but I know I was so young the loud music made me cry. It was the Beach Boys btw. Since then I have tried to get to as many shows as possible. Even traveling great distances for shows. I am here to help share my love of photography and music, but capturing as much as the passion our Canadian artists give to their craft as I can.
