In less than two weeks, Canadian Music week will take over Toronto with showcases celebrating the best local and international talent in the industry. Some of the exciting new announcements to the festival include The Dandy Warhols, Canadian indie stars Yukon Blonde, Toronto producer Tasha the Amazon, Juno award winner Jess Moskaluke, James Barker Band and more appearing alongside Big Sean, Melissa Etheridge, and Wolf Parade.
CMW 2017 will be packed with exciting showcases including late night programming from BUNZ, Complex Canada presents Earl Sweatshirt, the SIRIUSXM House at The Great Hall, Exclaim! Presents at the Baby G, The Indies presented by Jim Beam with Indie88, KX Country and Boots & Hearts at Phoenix Concert Theatre, as well as label presented shows from BUZZ Records, Dine Alone, Six Shooter, and Mint Records.

In addition to regular wristbands, the festival will be introducing Explorer+ passes this year to ensure fans don’t get turned away at the door. The Explorer+ pass gives fans priority access to all official venues and allows you to pick up advance tickets, subject to availability, for all Concert Series shows at the CMW box office at the Sheraton Hotel in Toronto.
The regular Explorer wristband gives concertgoers six days of access to all Club Series venues, subject to capacity.

I’ve been involved in music my whole life and have developed a passion for helping out or working in the industry any way I can. I’m interested in helping talented artists gain the recognition they deserve in this crazy business. I am currently studying Communication Studies at York University in Toronto, and working at a local theatre doing marketing and communications, as well as helping out a local festival called Rock the Coliseum. Indie, alt-rock/pop, and metal are my favourites but I’m open to all music genres! If I’m not at a show, I’m doing yoga, grabbing coffee, or looking for some craft beer.
