The 28th annual Dauphin’s Countryfest takes place June 29 to July 2 this year. It’s Canada’s longest running country music festival and this four-day festival has been attracting the biggest names in country music since it began in 1990. There are three stages for artists to perform, with the Club Regent Casino & Event Centre Main Stage (renamed this year) located at the base of the unique outdoor amphitheatre that is built into the side of an escarpment providing every festivalgoer an outstanding view from any one of the 14,000 seats in the house. The MTS Stage on the hilltop is completely covered over so no one gets wet if it rains. There is the Credit Union Corral Stage for more intimate shows, also located on the hilltop.
This year, the superstar headliners are Doc Walker, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan and Johnny Reid. And, each and every night all stages include an excellent mix of country, rock, blues and roots. No matter your taste in music, “CFest” has it.
President Eric Irwin says,
“Countryfest fans have come to expect an exceptional and well-rounded music festival experience, and the superstar lineup shaping up for 2017 is one of the best we’ve ever put together,” Countryfest. Dauphin is definitely the place that music fans want to be to ring in Canada’s 150th birthday this year!”

Hi all. I’m Nanci Dagg. I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have lived my entire life here. There is nothing I like better than supporting local artists followed by supporting Canadian artists. Although I was a classic rock gal, my go to genre is country. Something about this music that just makes me feel great. I can be found at most country music concerts and shows (from someone’s house to really large venues) taking lots of pictures. Music and photography are two of my passions. Add to this mix, writing about artists, well let’s say, life doesn’t get better than this.
