Ontario based up and coming country artist, Josh Ross began singing at a young age and started writing lyrics and playing guitar during high school. Josh has been successful in the music industry, playing festivals such as Magna Hoedown. He has previously released a cover of Lady Antebellum’s “You Look Good”, and we are happy to see this brand new cover video. This time, Josh covers another very talented Canadian artist, Aaron Goodvin’s “Don’t Ever Let Go”.
Josh told us a bit about why he chose to cover this particular song:
“It was funny cause I already had another song picked to do for my second cover video. But I came across this song when I was driving back home and I immediately fell in love with the lyrics, sound and what they meant. I always listen for a story in a song and I felt thing song told a great story but also it is so similar to my writing style so I really enjoyed singing it and had to make the video. Matt Piche does an amazing job playing the fiddle and putting the overall sound together. He did my last cover video of “You Look Good”. He’s done lots of work with artists, most recently Eric Ethridge. Kyle Hohmann plays the acoustic for me, he is super awesome with his harmonies but also playing style. This morning I talked to Aaron Goodvin about the song and he gave me a shout out which was really cool! It is nice to know other artists appreciate what I am doing. The cover videos are a great way for me to build a foundation right now while I am continuously working on my own material and developing my overall sound. I’m sure I will have another one coming in the future!”
