We had a chance to chat with Ottawa Valley based country band, Wyldcard. They have recently released their single “Six Pack Remedy” and now’s your chance to find out more about them!
Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hi guys! We are Wyldcard, a new modern country band. Our music is a blend of old classic country and new modern country.
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
Our writing style consists of just that, a classic country story with modern guitar oriented music. We try to write our music with very strong hooks.
Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?
We do have some upcoming shows planned. We will be playing in our hometown of Eganville, Ontario for Canada’s 150 birthday this year. In case you haven’t seen Wyldcard live, you can expect a high energy, heartfelt show that will please a wide variety of country fans.
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?
If you have not heard Wyldcard yet, I would suggest you listen to “Six Pack Remedy” as it sums up the bands music quite nicely.
Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/ artists?
Our current favourite Canadian bands are Ian Tyson, Gordon Lightfoot, Gord Bamford, The Road Hammers, Bryan Adams and Jason Blaine just to name a few.
I’m Jenna, and I am the founder and editor of Canadian Beats. I have had a strong love for Canadian music, which started many years ago. I have a passion for promoting these talented Canadian bands and artists, and that’s how Canadian Beats came to be. I am so proud of what it has become over the last few years, with many talented music lovers and writers coming together to spread the word of Canada’s music.
