Vancouver, BC based band, The Matinée will be releasing their sophomore album, Dancing On Your Grave on February 17th via Light Organ Records. The album is now available for pre-order on iTunes, so be sure to head there now. The album was recorded over two sessions at Vancouver’s 604 Studios and produced by Jamie Candiloro.
“Dancing On Your Grave showcases the dynamic musicianship of The Matinée and explores the growth and transformation of the band as a whole. The recording of the album took place in the wake of a series of personal upheavals within the group: marriages, children, and an emotional breakup saw each member take time away from the band to gain some much needed perspective. “We were all going through big life changes,” Matt Layzell recalls. “After a difficult split, I found myself disappearing on solo road trips into the wild with my dog, trying to clear my head.””
