Robby Johnson dropped his full length debut studio album Don’t Look Back, earlier this year. Since the album’s release, Johnson has been spending his time touring around and making several appearances in support of his country music debut. Johnson has finally released his latest music video for his single, “Together” which is currently making its round on radio.
“Together” was written by chart-topping country artist Chris Young, Frank Myers, and Anthony Smith. Johnson was able to get his hands on the song and was offered a chance to record “Together” after he moved himself and his family to Nashville. Johnson first heard the song while he was working as a demo singer for Grammy Award Winner, Frank Myers. At the time, Johnson only dreamt of being able to make the song a master recording for his debut album. “I fell in love with this song on very first listen. It’s the first song that was offered to me after moving my whole family to Nashville. I decided to go with “Together” for my second single because it represents who I am and what I stand for. It’s also because lots of fans sing along every time I perform it live. Which is a pretty good indication it’s a hit!!!” Johnson explains.
Johnson’s entire debut album Don’t Look Back contains tracks penned by some of country music’s biggest songwriting “Champions” such as; Josh Osborne, Shane McAnally, Sam Hunt, Luke Liard, and Rhett Akins. Johnson himself even shares his own unique songwriting skills on five of the albums 13 tracks.
“Together” is a true country style love song about Faith, Hope and Tenacity. Johnson’s vocals are strong, rugged, and fill you up with emotion on this power ballad. The video itself even features the acting debut of Johnson’s 8 year old son Pierre. The video is absolutely touching, tear jerking, and complements the strong lyrics of this country love song.
