Daniel Wesley is one of Canada’s best kept secrets! Playing shows all across the country over 10 years now, and 7 albums, Daniel has quite the dedicated fan base. His shows are always full of energy, dancing and just straight fun. His style of music is very Sublime meets Jack Johnson with the perfect mix of rock and roll. Canadian Beats has been lucky enough to catch a few of his shows, and they never fail to blow us away.
This time, Daniel Wesley was playing Flames Central in Calgary, on Oct.14th. The show was in support of the I Will Survive Association. The organization works to reduce the stigma surrounding suicide and mental illness. The concert was called Music4life and featured Daniel Wesley and Guests including local band Lunar Wilde.
Daniel Wesley played a full set spanning over all 7 of his albums with crowd favourites like “ooo oh” “Pilgrimage” and “Head outta Water” and his cover of Ginuwine’s 1996 “Pony”. The night was full of great tunes for an even better cause. And Calgary once again enjoyed another incredible Daniel Wesley show, and are left impatiently awaiting the next one.

I’m Heather Young. I am 29 years old and from Calgary. I’m the mother of a 6 year old boy and I work with children as a developmental assistant. I have always had a passion for writing and music so working for Canadian Beats is right up my alley. I love every genre of music as long as it catches my attention, it’s on my playlist, from rap to country. When I’m not working or writing I love to spend time outside with my son playing games or going for walks.
