Our coverage of the Canadian National Exhibition continues with a night with two Canadian country stars.
Jessica Mitchell is gaining popularity in record proportions. After watching her on the Bandshell stage its not hard to see why. The audience was held captive as she crooned her songs, including her hit single, “Workin On Whiskey”, which closed out her set. Mitchell spent time between her songs talking about their meaning and thanking fans for taking this musical journey with her.
Crowd favourite Dean Brody, headlined the night, starting his set with “Bounty” and playing other hits like “Wildflower” and “Dirt”. A summer festival just isn’t complete without a performance from Brody. The thousands of fans in attendance would definitely agree!

I’m Nicole, a biology teacher by day, but my life revolves around music. I’m that girl that you will always find with the concert t-shirt on and ear buds in. It is rare that you find me without some type of music playing in the background. I connect all of my life experiences to music. It truly has its own language in my heart. There is nothing more exciting than taking in all that a concert has to offer. I love to support local Canadian acts and attend as many shows that I can.
