The 4 day country music festival know as Sunfest started as a one day country festival outside of Duncan B.C. 16 years ago. This year Sunfest has moved to it’s new permanent location outside of Youbou B.C.
Kicking off it’s inaugural weekend with Carrie Underwood and Dierks Bentley, the stage is a copy of the Gorge amphitheater outside of Seattle insuring a great view for all festival goers, as well as a state of the art sound system that made Canadian country artists like The County line, Band of Crowz and Quoia sound great.
Other Canadian talent on the Sunday stage included the very talented Danielle Marie and the lovely duo, Autumn Hill. Sunfest is one of the West Coast’s best festivals and with the best of country music performing, is no wonder why.

I fell in love with live shows when I saw my first concert at 8 years old
and it is love affair that has been going on 42 years.
I started writing for two Canadian music magazines in order to write and photograph the great live music scene that was going on around me. I enjoy Blues, indie- rock, motown and old fashioned rock and roll from the 50s to 70s. I will go to intimate house concerts, local clubs and the way to big arenas to see good live music. When not at a show, I will be at home in my garden listening to my latest acquired album.
