Lindsay Ell, country music artist from Calgary, is having an incredible 2016! After recently finishing up CMT’s Next Women of Country Tour with Jennifer Nettles and Brandy Clark, she received a 2016 Canadian Country Music Association Female Artist of the Year nomination. Just next week she will be performing on the main stage of the final day of the Boots & Hearts Music Festival, along side Jason Benoit, Jason Blaine, Chase Rice and Tim McGraw.
Ell took time out of her busy schedule to catch up with Canadian Beats journalist, Nicole Wolfe, to talk about her CCMA nomination, her Boots and Hearts performance and a few other exciting things happening in 2016. You can listen to this interview below!
If you have not had a chance to check out her social media pages, its time you went over and gave her a like/follow. She offers weekly guitar lessons and fun updates all the time. It is no surprise she was nominated in the inaugural #SocialSuperStar category for the 2016 CMT Music Awards!

I’m Nicole, a biology teacher by day, but my life revolves around music. I’m that girl that you will always find with the concert t-shirt on and ear buds in. It is rare that you find me without some type of music playing in the background. I connect all of my life experiences to music. It truly has its own language in my heart. There is nothing more exciting than taking in all that a concert has to offer. I love to support local Canadian acts and attend as many shows that I can.
