At Toronto’s Festival of Beer, more than 333 brews from over 100 brewers across the world were available to sample, along with a variety of food vendors, and a chef demo grilling tent. The event took place over three days, each highlighting different musical genres on the main stage. Reggae music was the theme for Day 2 and the musical acts kept the summer vibes going all day long. Earlier in the day the popular cover band Mob Barley and the Railers played their own version of Marley’s iconic tunes. This band featured musicians from popular local bands including Sumo Cyco and The Salads. In the late afternoon, Big Sugar and opener, Lucas DiPasquale performed to the sold out crowd, creating an atmosphere that was absolutely perfect for sampling beer and food in the summertime! We also had the chance to catch up with Big Sugar before the show to talk about the festival and their tour life. Stay tuned to Canadian Beats for this video interview!

I’m Nicole, a biology teacher by day, but my life revolves around music. I’m that girl that you will always find with the concert t-shirt on and ear buds in. It is rare that you find me without some type of music playing in the background. I connect all of my life experiences to music. It truly has its own language in my heart. There is nothing more exciting than taking in all that a concert has to offer. I love to support local Canadian acts and attend as many shows that I can.
