Canadian legends Trooper, Chillwack and Valdy are a few of the acts you will see at Nanaimo’s King Neptune’s bathtub launch party tonight (July 22, 2016) as part of Nanaimo’s marine festival that runs all month.
The launch party is being held at Matteo Sutton park in downtown Nanaimo. Also on the bill is the 70’s band The Kings known for their 1977 hit “The beat goes on/switch to glide”. Darkhorse is fronted by Nanaimo’s own Paul Laine songwriter Danger Danger. Hosting the evening is none other than DJ Mickey Mick.
This is an all ages show. Tickets are available at Nanimo outlets and at Victoria Lyle’s Place. V.I.P tickets come with covered seats, refreshments and snacks…
I fell in love with live shows when I saw my first concert at 8 years old
and it is love affair that has been going on 42 years.
I started writing for two Canadian music magazines in order to write and photograph the great live music scene that was going on around me. I enjoy Blues, indie- rock, motown and old fashioned rock and roll from the 50s to 70s. I will go to intimate house concerts, local clubs and the way to big arenas to see good live music. When not at a show, I will be at home in my garden listening to my latest acquired album.
