This afternoon, Thursday July 7, 2016, various media outlets were invited to tour the grounds of Bingemans, host of this year’s CMT Music Fest.
We began with a walk through the VIP section. How inviting! Access to swimming pool, Volleyball courts, a couple of exclusive bars and free lockers for your excess stuff. That’s a great deal! We were treated to some food and drink that will be at the event. Don’t worry, the bar is well stocked!
There will be some lovely ambassadors throughout the park to help direct you and answer your questions. They stand out in their black and white outfits.
We got to see the Main Stage, where Eric Church and Zac Brown Band with headline with many of our Canadian favourites like The Road Hammers, Tom Cochrane with Red Rider, Kira Isabella, Meghan Patrick and Kansas Stone. This stage is massive! It came up from the U.S. in, I believe we were told, six trucks. If size matters, this one takes the prize!
There will also be the Maple Leaf Stage, where we will get to see ten amazing Canadian acts, including Andrew Hyatt, Eric Ethridge, James Barker Band, Leah Daniels and Cold Creek County.
Up on the hill, in big, stand-up letters, is CMT. I can see this being a popular photo op spot for concert goers. It is going to look great at night with the lights shining on it.
This is geared up to be an incredible two-day event. If you are attending, look for me to get some cool Canadian Beats swag.
Hello everyone! My name is Linda and I have been a fan of Canadian Music for as long as I can remember. That counts for way too many decades than I want to admit to! I have three primary passions in my life, music, photography and writing. When I can combine them all, I feel I am right where I should be. Though I can appreciate all genres of music, my particular favourite is Country. Canadian Country is moving in leaps and bounds. I love how it is progressing and I’m thankful that I can be a small part of it.
