Cavendish Beach Music Festival will take over Cavendish PEI on July 8-10 and we were more than happy to put together a series of countdown interviews with some of the extraordinary Canadian talent that will be gracing the stages, such as Jason Benoit, Petric, Jojo Mason, The Road Hammers and Bobby Wills. Continuing on with our countdown to Cavendish Beach Music Festival, which will take place July 8-10, we are happy to present a short interview with the very talented Emerson Drive.
Cavendish Beach Music Festival is one of Canada’s strictly Country festivals, and it’s one of the biggest out there, how does it feel to be a part of it?
Anytime we get a chance to play in front of that many people it always makes for great energy on stage, and always feels great!
Have you taken part in CBMF in the past? If so, what is your favorite memory from previous years? If you haven’t taken part in CBMF in the past, what are you most looking forward to for this year?
We have played CBMF before. The last time we played was just after “She’s My Kind Of Crazy” had gone Top 5. The crowd’s reaction was incredible, and seeing everyone sing along never gets old.
You are in a line-up of extremely talented Country artists, who are you most excited to check out at the festival?
Well we’re only in for the day, so I would have to say Blake Shelton. We’ve been on at a few of the same festivals in the past, but it’s been a couple years.
Are you performing at any other festivals this summer that you’d like to tell us about?
We’ll be at Boots and Hearts this year. As a Canadian, it’s great to see so much support at these festivals!
Describe your live show using only 5 words, and GO!
Energetic, from Start to Finish!
I’m Jenna, and I am the founder and editor of Canadian Beats. I have had a strong love for Canadian music, which started many years ago. I have a passion for promoting these talented Canadian bands and artists, and that’s how Canadian Beats came to be. I am so proud of what it has become over the last few years, with many talented music lovers and writers coming together to spread the word of Canada’s music.
