As a musician, splitting your time between two cities on opposite ends of the musical spectrum allows for the opportunity create diverse music. Blend indie rock from Toronto with roots from Nashville and you have the ultra-talented Jadea Kelly. She was recently featured by Canadian Beats for an interview and a review of her latest album, Love & Lust and we were very happy to catch up with her for an intimate performance at The Cameron House in downtown Toronto last week.
The cozy and eclectic venue was the perfect location to showcase her warm and croon-worthy voice. Kelly brought up to the stage with her friends from her musical connections in the Toronto and Nashville music scenes as she celebrated songs from her latest album. In between songs, her humour shone through as she captivated the audience with stories on such topics as Spanx TM and the meanings behind her songs.

I’m Nicole, a biology teacher by day, but my life revolves around music. I’m that girl that you will always find with the concert t-shirt on and ear buds in. It is rare that you find me without some type of music playing in the background. I connect all of my life experiences to music. It truly has its own language in my heart. There is nothing more exciting than taking in all that a concert has to offer. I love to support local Canadian acts and attend as many shows that I can.
