Over a year later, I still talk about the set Tomato/Tomato played during East Coast Music Week in St. John’s. They are unlike anything I’ve ever heard and to finally listen to their album, I Go Where You Go, was a real treat.
“I go where you go, we go together, no matter the distance, no matter the weather, I hope you’re feeling it too, cause everything’s better with you” The title track is a love song two people in love, which is perfect for a duo who are also married.
“Rabbit In The Log” ends the album off on a great upbeat note. A sign of a great song to me is how quickly it get stuck in my head, and this one only took one listen for that to happen.
Even if you aren’t a fan of folk music, it’s worth your time to check out this album. John and Lisa McLaggan’s voices compliment each other perfectly and what other act do you know with a washboard as one of their main instruments?

I’m Tara and I’m a graphic designer from Newfoundland. I am very fortunate to live in a city where there is a ton of amazing musicians. I’ve grown very fond of the local music scene in St. John’s and some of my favorite bands are ones I’ve met through going to local shows.
