Stampede 2016 is just around the corner. Everyone is bracing for this year’s biggest outdoor show on earth, hoping that this year can top last year’s killer show as if its possible. Well the Calgary Stampede has done it again, this year’s lineup is probably the best, and most diverse I’ve ever seen. Recently we gave you the official Nashville North lineup that gave you some of the best in country music, and now its time to reveal the infamous Coca Cola Stage lineup.
This year taking the stage to rock your cowboy boots off we have, Christian Hudson, JJ Shiplett, Calgary’s own The Dudes, who by the way are great! One of Canada’s favourite treasures and recent Juno winners, Walk Off The Earth, Colemen Hell, Classified, x Ambassadors, The Sheepdogs. Another jewel from right here in Calgary, Jocelyn Alice. The one and only Shawn Hook, Mother Mother, Dear Rouge, The Glorious Sons, Gord Bamford and the show everyone will want to be in attendance for…..Simple Plan!
Mix this with the already intense Nashville North tent, The Cowboys tent that is hosting shows like Brett Kissel and Thomas Rhrett and even the show of the summer Blink 182! Then you have the Saddledome with artists like Zac Brown Band and Lady Antebellum. Did I mention this is all within 10 days? You are going to have a hard time deciding how to be in all of these great places at once. All I can say is good luck, drink lots of water, in between the beer of course, and happy Stampeding.
I’m Heather Young. I am 29 years old and from Calgary. I’m the mother of a 6 year old boy and I work with children as a developmental assistant. I have always had a passion for writing and music so working for Canadian Beats is right up my alley. I love every genre of music as long as it catches my attention, it’s on my playlist, from rap to country. When I’m not working or writing I love to spend time outside with my son playing games or going for walks.
