With summer festival season fast approaching many people are starting to plan their road trips for shows if they haven’t already. One big hit on the east coast is definitely the Cavendish Beach Music Festival which brings in thousands of fans to see some of country’s biggest act in Canada’s smallest province. This year’s lineup is no exception, seeing the return of American country stars Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney and The Band Perry, alongside some of Canada’s best and brightest.
With multiple stages the weekend long party kicks off with the iHeart Radio Tailgate Party on Thursday, July 7th. The event is free but space is limited so be sure to get there early! Throughout the rest of the weekend you can see many amazing acts on the main stage such as The Road Hammers and Cold Creek County (Friday, July 8th), Emerson Drive and Tebey (Saturday, July 9th), and Dean Brody and Bobby Wills (Sunday, July 10th). The acts for the Cavendish Farms Kitchen Stage and the Gahan House Stage will be announced in the near future. For a more detailed look at the weekend lineup, be sure to check out the festival’s website.
Tickets went on sale before Christmas for the die hard fans so getting the best deals may be tricky this late in the game. Single day tickets start at just $84.50 but quantities are limited so be sure to grab them while you still can. There are also some weekend packages still available, but they will sell faster as the time for the concerts approach.
Not from the north shore of the Island? Not a problem! Cavendish has many campgrounds and cottages surrounding the area of the concerts. Be sure to check out the travel and lodging section of the website for details on the best places to stay, but keep in mind that just as with the tickets, rooms are going fast.
The website also has all the information you need and want for the festivities, including a countdown down to the second that it all starts. Be sure to check out the lineup and ticket details today and head on over to the north shore for one of the best country music weekends you will experience.

I’m a Toronto girl born and raised but have been living in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick since 2010. Music and writing are my two passions, so what better place for me to be than a writer with Canadian Beats? I have been writing for the blog since May of 2013 and have had so many great experiences because of it. I listen to almost every kind of music but my favourites are pop rock, rock, indie, folk, and any other combinations of them. Concerts are definitely my favourite place to be, especially when you’re right against the barricade and can feel the energy from the band and the crowd, everyone singing the same lyrics and moving to the music. I also have a college degree in Business Administration and hope to one day be able to publish a novel.
