Niverville Olde Tyme Country Fair really does kick off the summer fairs and festivals in Manitoba and has for the last 20 years. There is so much to do and see at this fair that you will be glad you came. From the Wonder Shows Midway to Freestyle Motocross, to a firework extravaganza, to the best that country music has to offer, Niverville is THE place to be on June 10 and 11. Especially June 11. The day starts off with a parade that is delight to watch. And, in the evening local artist Brady Kenneth, the most-talked about band to recently hit the country music scene The Washboard Union and 16-time CCMA award-winning artist Gord Bamford hit the stage. You will need to get there early if you want a great spot to see these great artists perform.
The entertainment is outstanding. Brady Kenneth truly is a homegrown talent since he grew up on a farm near Niverville. The crowd will be cheering him on there is no doubt. The Wasboard Union hails from Vancouver. The unique sound of Aaron Grain, Chris Duncombe and David Roberts have set them apart on the country music scene. Yes, they actually play actual washboards. The humble and quiet Gord Bamford is staple on the country music scene and has been for many years. Once he starts to perform and if you think you don’t know his songs, you’ll be saying – hey I know that song!

Hi all. I’m Nanci Dagg. I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have lived my entire life here. There is nothing I like better than supporting local artists followed by supporting Canadian artists. Although I was a classic rock gal, my go to genre is country. Something about this music that just makes me feel great. I can be found at most country music concerts and shows (from someone’s house to really large venues) taking lots of pictures. Music and photography are two of my passions. Add to this mix, writing about artists, well let’s say, life doesn’t get better than this.
