Review – David Myles

EP: Here Now
Release Date: April 8, 2016
Genre: Pop

Nova Scotian singer/songwriter David Myles teams up yet again with fellow East Coaster Classified to release his latest EP: Here Now. Myles has proven his dynamic musical talents, with previously combining various genres from folk to roots, jazz and country. However, with the help of Classified, his latest release delves into exploring the world of pop.

After the 2013 release of “Inner Ninja”, the biggest rap single in Canadian music history, Classified and Myles prove again they are a power duo with a lot more in their musical agenda.

The six-track EP opens with my personal favourite “It Don’t Matter”: a catchy love tune. Here Now is the perfect blend of upbeat songs and slower ballads. I can see the fifth track “Doctor, Doctor” being a popular radio single. We all know too well about the lonely blues, but how “only love can break your heart”. Pop definitely looks good on Myles.
