When: March 16, 2016
Venue: Midland Cultural Centre
Where: Midland, Ontario
The Trews have spent the better part of a month travelling across Canada for their 2016 Acoustic Tour, which wrapped up in Midland where we caught up with them. In advance of this show, I had the chance to catch up with John-Angus MacDonald (lead guitar/vocals) to chat about this tour and what he and his band mates are up to this year. You can read this interview here.
If there is one thing that The Trews do very well, it is to captivate an audience regardless of the size of the venue. Lead singer Colin MacDonald delighted us all night with stories about life back in Eastern Canada, life on the road and of people that are near and dear to their hearts as songs like “65 Roses” and “Highway of Heroes” were dedicated in their honour.
With summer festival season just around the corner, there is no doubt that The Trews will be performing again soon.

I’m Nicole, a biology teacher by day, but my life revolves around music. I’m that girl that you will always find with the concert t-shirt on and ear buds in. It is rare that you find me without some type of music playing in the background. I connect all of my life experiences to music. It truly has its own language in my heart. There is nothing more exciting than taking in all that a concert has to offer. I love to support local Canadian acts and attend as many shows that I can.
