Toronto, ON based artist Lindsay Foote has just released a video of her song, “Monster”.The video was recorded live off the floor at Typewriter Studios in Toronto, ON with the help of Myke Mazzei and Andrew Pieroni.
When asked about the track, Lindsay recalls that “the idea for “Monster” came from a recurring dream I’ve had over the past few years. It’s a simple, but scary dream- I “wake up” and see a dark, ominous figure (or “monster”) standing over my bed. The figure begins to walk towards me and I wake myself up by turning on the light. At the time of writing the song, I was also going through a break-up, and questioning whether I was making the right decision. In the process of writing the song, I began to see the “Monster” as a metaphor for that insecure side of my brain that was causing me to doubt myself.”
If you like what you’re hearing, be sure to head to iTunes and grab your own copy of her album, From The Blue.
