Monday, February 8 Shantaia Poulin released her newest single “Crave You” to Canadian country radio, iTunes, and online major music retailers. Only 18 years of age, this young Canadian artist has worked hard and showcased her talent well beyond the borders of Spiritwood, Saskatchewan. Writing and performing all through her teenage years has helped Poulin develop a strong talent and a personal musical styling.
“Crave You” is an original tune that showcases Poulin’s style and talent. Fellow Canadian artist, Crystal Shawanda lends her production talents to “Crave You.” Shawanda produced the new track as well as taking some time to mentor Poulin as an emerging artist. Shawanda is an award winning Canadian music artist originating from Wikwemikong First Nation on Manitoulin Island in Northern Ontario.
Writing and performing come naturally. Poulin recorded three original songs with Shawanda producing. The two are set to have more future collaborations. With “Crave You” being added to Canadian country radio and a full length album in the works, Poulin is on her way to becoming an established Canadian country music artist.
Music has touched my soul since day one. Whether it is performing or sitting down with some of the biggest names in music, I can always be found sharing my profoundly tender affection of music with anyone who will listen. Being a music journalist has allowed me to expand my knowledge of music and interact with some of my biggest childhood heroes. From days of radio broadcasting to sitting back, kicking off my cowboy boots and sharing my adventures with likeminded music fans online has been nothing short of amazing. Canada is full of true musical talent and I look forward to continuing to share my adventures in music with you.
