Montreal, QC based indie pop/rock artist, Andrew Johnston has released a new cover of the Corey Hart classic, “Never Surrender”. When asked about his thoughts on the song, he answered:
“A lot of memories came rushing back, because that is the soundtrack of my childhood right there. I grew up in the country but went to school in the city, so a lot of my early memories are driving around with my Mum and Dad listening to Human League, Hall and Oates, Men at Work, Cory Hart etc etc. In some ways, hearing the song again after so long helped to re-connect me with the child-like fascination that I used to have for music and it motivated me to try to get back on tour before the end of the year.”
We’re sure you’re going to enjoy what you hear, and if that is the case, be sure to catch Andrew at one of the upcoming tour dates:
December 3 Fredericton – The Grimross.
December 4 St. John, NB -Taco Pica w/Womb to Tomb.
December 7th Charlottetown, P.E.I – Babs’s Lounge w/ David Woodside
December 8th Moncton, NB – Igloo Beverage Room
