Halifax, NS based blues/ roots musician, Mojo Martin released his debut solo album, “Friday 13th” on October 27, 2015, which features ten tracks. The talent that is possessed by this award winning East Coast artist is evident in every song on the album.
“Stand Up Tall” and “Don’t Lose That Groove” are easily my two favourites on the album, both have a slightly upbeat vibe, and possess the ability to pull you in. Although this isn’t the normal style of music that I tend to listen to, I enjoyed each and every song on the album, and it’s albums like this that make my job of reviewing albums even more fun, going into it not knowing anything about the band or artist, and then thoroughly enjoying it.
