Toronto, ON based rockers Last Bullet have unleashed a brand new single & video entitled “Sin” to the world. I had the chance to ask the band a few questions, and now you’re in luck because you get to see what they had to say! Also be sure to watch the video above, you won’t regret it.
Hi and welcome to Canadian Beats. What can you tell us about Last Bullet?
Last Bullet are a no-nonsense group of guys who play raw, straight up rock music that infuses every generation of the genre
You have just released your new single “SIN”. What can you tell us about the song, and the writing and recording process?
We took a different route from our typical themes for this track. We wanted to touch on a concept that we feel is affecting all of us. It’s the whole “cog in the machine” vibe and the thought of being lead by others and not having a clear intention for our own actions. With most of our recent music, Bryan and Brenden develop the lyrics and music respectively and then the track is honed in the jam space. Sin was recorded with producer Brian Moncarz, who we immediately had an affinity with. He provided the right environment to get the most out of us for this track.
You are releasing a video for “SIN”. What can you tell us about the video and what was the highlight of the video shoot?
We wanted to find the perfect backdrop to pull together what we were getting at with this track and we did just that by locking down the attic of the historic Fairmont Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto to shoot this thing. It provided all the grit, grime, and grandeur that we needed to back this particular track. The highlight… our ripped quads from lugging gear up and down the endless amount of stairs!
What can someone who has yet to see you perform live expect from one of your shows?
We exude energy, excitement, fun, laughter, sexiness, raunchiness, seriousness… all of these emotions and experiences in a genuine performance with the goal of engaging our audience. We connect… plain and simple
What’s next for Last Bullet?
More shows and more new music! We’re playing with Buckcherry in 2 weeks so we’re pumped for that!
