Patrons at Kenzington Burger Bar were treated to a night of 80’s hair band music when the singer from Red Dragon Cartel, Darren James Smith (formerly of Harem Scarem), stopped by to play several sets of high intensity, heavy metal goodness.  The venue is small, but was packed with enthusiastic metal heads all eager to see this rock legend in a rare and intimate setting.  Smith demonstrated his musical dexterity by performing on both electric guitar and drums during the performance.  His charm and cheeky nature instantly won over the crowd as he engaged them in conversation in between songs, and he also made time for several silly faces for my camera.  To be in the presence of such a rock legend was a truly humbling experience.  Follow him on the social media accounts for Red Dragon Cartel to keep informed about his future performances.
