Toronto, ON based artist, Oxford Blue has released a new mini-album, “Another Blue Morning”, which features six full length tracks that have a sound resembling such classic artists as Stompin’ Tom and Hank Snow, but with a mixture of folk thrown in there.
The album starts with the title track, which had me hooked right away. I seem to have a soft spot for this type of music these days as it brings me back to my childhood where my parents and grandparents listened to classic country around the house.
My favourite on the album would have to be the third song, “Take Me Home”, it has a mixture of genres that blends perfectly together to create a song that imprinted in my head almost immediately.
If you’re a fan of the classic country/ canadiana sound of the past, or even a fan of newer artists, such as Ryan Cook, I can highly recommend this album to you.
