Vancouver Island Music’s artist of the year, Stephanie Macpherson is set to release her sophomore album entitled “Stones” on October 9th. Stephanie is no stranger to great artistry in the music business having shared the stage with greats like Sarah McLachlan and Erykah Badu. This album really showcases how she can stand next to artists like that and not fade into the background.

The 11 track masterpiece produced by Colin Linden is plastered with real emotion, relatable emotion. The track “Lie beside you” is probably one of my favourites and is written as a promise of the commitment in love. It’s catchy and will have you singing along with the first listen. “Everything You Don’t Do” is a positive pick me up song just waiting to making any hard day just that much easier. And isn’t that one of the big reasons we are lovers of music? The guitar driven title track “Stones” is full of soft yet completely raw vocals, showcasing just why everyone is buzzing about Stephanie Macpherson. “Stones” is a feel good record with easy listening vibes and hypnotic vocals.

Stephanie is on tour now until the end of this month so make sure you not only get your hands on “Stones” on Oct. 9th, but also check out her website for a list of stops on the fall tour.
