Saskatchewan based country artist, Jess Moskaluke is going nowhere but up. She was recently named Female Artist of the Year at the Canadian Country Music Association Awards, for the second year in a row and is taking off on tour with Dean Brody & Paul Brandt, as a part of their #RoadTripTour.

On top of all of that amazing news, she has just released her EP entitled “Kiss Me Quiet” through MDM Recordings. The EP starts strong with the title track, which is also the first single from the EP. As it played on, it only got better, and if you have heard the single, you know that’s no easy task.

I was immediately hooked on the second song, “Elevator” and the fifth song, “Lightning Bolt”. They are the type of songs that play back in your head over and over. Jess has a voice that makes you happy just hearing it, and I can see why she was named Female Artist of the Year twice, and won’t be surprised if she is again.

The EP closes with acoustic versions of “Kiss Me Quiet” and “Lightning Bolt”, and if you’re like me, you think that the songs couldn’t possible get any better, but once the songs start, you realize that statement is wrong.

The word that comes to mind when I try to find a way to describe the EP is: AMAZING. But then, who’s surprised? I can’t say I am.

Rating: 5/5
